Taking a siesta has a long history in many cultures but taking a siesta at work has been dismissed as a time-waster to be frowned on. But things might be changing. According to The Trends Journal, a publication of the Rhinebeck Institute of New York, napping at work should be encouraged.
"It will be a time to cool down, recharge the batteries and harmonize the mind," predicts Gerald Celente, director of the Rhinebeck Institute. Naps are once again gaining legitimacy, according to Celente. When companies start realizing that napping makes employees feel better, it will be recognized as a productivity booster, Celente adds.
Will captains of industry buy it? Maybe if they sleep on it.
